Whenever Cabel plays in the cities of Dorinda or Hardaway his family packs out those arenas. Cabel sports an afro to honor the memory of his father, Booker D. Adams. Cabel Adams was born on May 13, 1972 to Maria Pearl Samples and Booker D. Adams (now deceased). Cabel was the third to the last child of Booker D. Adams. Cabel began playing basketball at the age of 6 in little league. He was a very talented player. His little league team was sponsored by Shimmers-A lot-Hair Care Products, owned by his Grandfather, Themophilis Adams. Cabel was a starter all four of his high school year while he attended Cynthia Pitts High School in Dorinda, Maddocha. He attended Kovach University in Dorinda. He was a starter all four years of his college career. He was the best shooting guard in the state all four of his college years. He shot 91% in field goals and 73% in three-pointers. He was drafted number 11 by the Petersburg Mustangs in 1994. He has been a starter his entire professional career. Cabel is best friends with Abb Davis of the Cappell Huskies. Abb lead Cabel to Christ. Cabel became a Christian on January 1, 1999. Cabel often goes fishing with his grandfather when he has time. Cabel attends Grace Valley Christian Center with Abb Davis. Cabel recently bought his mother a new home. Cabel married Marvella Powers in October of 2002. |
